The Flyers face the second end of a back-to-back on Saturday night as they take on the Columbus Blue Jackets at 7 p.m. following a 4-2 loss to the Buffalo Sabres on Friday night.
In their final game before the NHL's Christmas break, the Flyers look to end on a high note. Going into Friday's game, the Flyers had won seven of their last eight games and had a 7-2-0 record in December. But that can change very quickly with a second straight loss in Columbus.

It seems likely that the Flyers will turn back to Brian Elliott for the 11th straight game on Saturday. Elliott has been solid during that stretch with wins in seven of 10 games, but it is a question as to whether the workload is catching up to him. Still, after quite the night in Buffalo, the Flyers may need Elliott's more stable presence in goal against Columbus instead of exposing a rookie in his first NHL game to one of the East's better teams.
It should come as no surprise that former Flyer Sergei Bobrovsky is in goal for the Blue Jackets. This season has had its ups and downs for Bobrovsky in terms of results, but his career numbers against his former team are nearly perfect. Bobrovsky has an 8-2-0 record with a 1.89 GAA and two shutouts against the Flyers.
