Following the Giancarlo Stanton trade attention has shifted to Baltimore Orioles star third-baseman Manny Machado as the next major name to change uniforms this offseason, and now it appears that Machado is one step closer to shifting area codes.
Dan Clark of the Baltimore Sun reports that the Orioles have received trade offers from five teams, one of which being the Phillies:
Several offers are on the table for Manny Machado – Cardinals, White Sox, Yankees, Phillies and Giants. #Orioles

The Phillies are expected be one of the many teams pusuing Machado's services when he is eligible for free agency in the 2018 offseason, but a deal being struck now could give the Phillies ample time to negotiate a long-term contract with a top young player in the game.
Clark also added that he believes the Phillies are the front runners at this time:
If I were to guess, I'd say the Phillies. #Machado
