The National Basketball Players Association tweeted out their award winners on Friday morning. One of them included a Sixers player. The tweet even came complete with a "Trusting the Process" comment.
Sixers center Joel Embiid was named the NBA's Comeback Player of the Year for his play with the Sixers in the 2016-2017 season.
Embiid was drafted with the Sixers first round pick, third overall, in 2014. However, due to a number of injuries, Embiid did not make his debut with the Sixers until 2016. Embiid appeared in 31 games, averaging 20.2 points per game, 7.8 rebounds, and 2.1 assists per game.
