Fresh off the heels of a 7-1 loss to the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim on Tuesday to open an eight-game road trip, the Phillies have sent two players back to the minors.
Following his Major League debut (and less than 24 hours after being called up to the Phils from Double-A Reading), Drew Anderson has been sent back to the Fightin Phils, according to CSN Philly's Corey Seidman. Outfielder Cameron Perkins has also been sent to Triple-A Lehigh Valley, as per Seidman's report.

Anderson, 24, earned some mop-up time in the 8th inning. Called up to serve as an extra arm after Monday's trade that sent Joaquin Benoit to Pittsburgh, Anderson allowed two hits on two runs, and recorded one strikeout — to Mike Trout, no less.
Perkins, who had joined the Phillies back in June, is slashing .207/.277/.276. He had gone 8-for-30 (.267) in the month of July, his first full season.
The Phillies are expected to make corresponding moves later in the day, though it's unknown at this time who could be joining them as the series continues in Los Angeles. Perhaps Daniel Nava could make his return, after suffering a hamstring strain on July 22.
