The Philadelphia 76ers arrive in Las Vegas to face the Golden State Warriors in their first Summer League game. The Sixers first overall pick Markelle Fultz returns to action after missing the teams final game in Utah against the Spurs. Fultz's last effort consisted of a 23-point night, rallying the team back from a 24- point deficit.
Fultz will be supported by Alex Poythress, Isaiah Miles, and Jonah Bolden who all received significant minutes in Thursday night's game. Miles clocked 21 minutes, scoring 18 points for the Sixers.
Melo Trimble will return to the court for the Sixers tonight, who is arguably the second most interesting player to watch for the Sixers. Trimble missed Thursday night's game with Fultz.
The Sixers will also feature Furkan Korkmaz and TLC in the starting lineup, along with Fultz.
Furkan Korkmaz will hopefully continue to adjust to NBA-type game speed after a slow start to his NBA career. The 19 year-old recently signed with the Sixers and arrived from Turkey earlier last week.
The Golden State Warriors begin their Summer League Games tonight against the Sixers. The Warriors will look to feature PF Jordan Bell, who signed a two-year deal with the team this morning. Patrick McCaw and Kevon Looney have drawn plenty of attention within the Warriors organization, and are must-watch players tonight.
Warriors Summer League Coach Chris DeMarco commented in an interview that Fultz "is going to be a handful, I'm sure". Fultz appears to be receiving respect from coaches and players around the league – we will see how the Warriors attempt to stop him.
The game begins at 10:30 PM.
