Markelle Fultz “plans on winning right away” when drafted by Sixers

As reporters looked on at media day for the NBA Draft on Wednesday, Markelle Fultz got the attention he deserved from the Sixers media, especially when he said he "plans on winning right away," when he is selected by the Sixers with the first overall pick on Thursday night.

The 6'4" Fultz, who played point guard at Washington, is without a doubt to many, the consensus number one overall pick this season. His abilities stretch farther than the eye can see, especially with his offensive ability to play both point and shooting guard.

It seems that Fultz has a very good head on his shoulders, and according to many people close to him, it's all business for Fultz.

When Fultz says he "wants to achieve many championships, and be the best young man I can be," there isn't a team in the NBA that wouldn't want this young man. He has the potential to be one of the great players in this league and he's only 19 years old.

The Sixers are already in position to draft Fultz number one, and Markelle has definitely expressed deep interest in coming to Philadelphia, especially in the last three or four days.

There are concerns for a lot of people that since Fultz only won nine games at Washington last season, it's hard to consider him a "winner," and go to a team that needs to actually start to win. However, Fultz isn't concerned with that.

Fultz has also shown a ton of ambition, especially in terms of how he sees his career heading once he makes his presence known on the Sixers.

Rookie of the Year and MVP? Bold words from Fultz, but he has already shown his commitment and will to succeed, as his journey begins tomorrow night.
