The Major League Baseball draft started back up on Tuesday and the Phillies used the 83rd overall selection to take right-hander Connor Seabold out of Cal State Fullerton.

Seabold, 21, just finished up his junior year of college, going 11-5 with a 3.01 ERA in 17 starts, tallying three complete games in 122.1 innings of work. He struck out 120 and walked just 22 hitters in 2017. Overall in his three years at Cal State Fullerton, Seabold compiled a 23-15 record, posting a 2.91 ERA and 1.10 WHIP.
The Baltimore Orioles picked him in the 19th round of the 2014 draft, but Seabold opted to continue his baseball career at Cal State Fullerton moving forward.
