Speedy outfielder Roman Quinn and right-hander Zach Eflin are both sidelined with elbow injuries. According to CSN's Jim Salisbury, both Phillies farmhands will get their elbows checked out by team doctors in Philadelphia on Tuesday.

Quinn hasn't played since May 28 and Phillies.com beat writer Todd Zolecki reports that Quinn has been making progress since being out of the lineup. Prior to his injury, Quinn was hitting .274 with eight doubles, three triples, two homers, 13 RBIs, 24 runs scored, 18 walks, 49 strikeouts and 10 steals.

Meanwhile, Eflin was sent down to Triple-A after allowing 22 earned runs in his last three starts at the big league level. Eflin only lasted four innings in his return to Lehigh Valley on Friday and was placed on the disabled list on Saturday. At that point, his injury wasn't disclosed, but it's an elbow issue for Eflin. Zolecki reports that Eflin was experiencing some discomfort during his start, so he'll get that examined on Tuesday. Eflin, 23, went 0-3 with a 6.13 ERA in eight starts with the Phillies this season, posting a 2.81 in his first five outings before things got bad.
