With NBA Draft day less than a month away, the chatter has begun even before the lottery on who the Philadelphia 76ers should select with the third overall pick. It seems like the majority of the fan base would like to see them take Josh Jackson, but according to Stefan Bondy of the New York Daily News, the Sixers could be more focused on De'Aaron Fox and Dennis Smith Jr.
The Sixers like both De'Aaron Fox and Dennis Smith Jr. for the third pick, according to sources.

Fox averaged 16.7 points and 4.6 assists in his lone season at Kentucky. Although he shot a respectable 47.9 percent overall, his 24.6 percent three-point percentage is concerning for a guard, especially if being considered at the third pick. His game outside the paint isn't too impressive and that may turn the Sixers away from Fox in the end.
Smith Jr. averaged 18.1 points, 6.2 assists and 4.6 rebounds for NC State last season. He's a player that is pretty ball dominant, so to go into a Sixers system where the offense would run around Simmons and Embiid might not be the best fit. Also, he isn't a great defensive player and Brett Brown prides himself and his team on strong defensive play. That being said, he has crazy athleticism and he'd probably be a better fit with Philadelphia than Fox.
The 2017 NBA Draft will take place at the Barclay's Center in Brooklyn, New York on Thursday, June 22.
