Eagles Acquire DT Timmy Jernigan, 99th Pick from Baltimore

The focus for the Eagles has shifted to the draft coming at the end of the month. But leading up to that, there is still time for other moves to happen.

The Eagles made one such move on Tuesday, trading their third-round pick — 74th overall — to the Baltimore Ravens for defensive tackle Timmy Jernigan and Baltimore's third-round pick at 99th overall.

Jernigan, 24, is entering his fourth season in the NFL. Last season for the Ravens, he had 31 tackles, 5.0 sacks, one fumble recovery and one interception.

Jernigan is a 6'2", 295-pound defensive tackle out of Florida State and was drafted in the second round of the 2014 NFL Draft by the Ravens. In three career seasons, Jernigan has combined for 91 tackles and 13.0 sacks.

The swap of third-round picks doesn't alter the Eagles number of picks in the draft. They have eight total picks in the draft, including five on Day 3.

The NFL Draft takes place in Philadelphia from April 27-29.
