The Eagles season as a whole was full of frustration, but if there was one position that stood out, it was the wide receiver position.
The Eagles have already decided to make one change with the wide receivers: coaching.
Wide receivers coach Greg Lewis was fired by the Eagles after one season on the sidelines.
Lewis was a rookie coach in the NFL. He served as an offensive assistant for the New Orleans Saints for one season and was a college position coach prior to joining the Eagles.
The Eagles leading receiver last season was Jordan Matthews, who finished with 73 catches, 804 yards and three touchdowns. Nelson Agholor and Dorial Green-Beckham combnied for 757 yards and four touchdowns. No Eagles wide receiver finished in the Top 100 in receiving yards. The trio of Matthews, Agholor and Green-Beckham all finished in the Top 50 in drop percentage, according to ESPN Stats and Info.
Lewis was an Eagles receiver for six seasons from 2003 to 2008. In his six seasons, Lewis had 127 catches for 1,699 yards and seven touchdowns.
