The Philadelphia 76ers revealed some pretty surprising news on Monday at practice. Point guard Jerryd Bayless is officially listed questionable for tonight's game against the Heat at the Wells Fargo Center.
#Sixers PG Jerryd Bayless is questionable for tonight's game vs. the #MiamiHeat. He will go thru pregame and be reevaluated

This is a big development as it indicates that his return is imminent whether he plays tonight or not. Philadelphia signed the veteran guard to a three-year deal this offseason worth $27 million and he was projected to be the teams' starting point man until a wrist injury derailed that to start the year. Last season with the Bucks, he averaged 10.8 points and 3.1 assists in just under 29 minutes in 52 games. He shot 42.3 percent from the floor and a career-high 43.7 percent from three point range.
If he doesn't suit up tonight, he could debut when the Sixers host the Grizzlies on Wednesday or the Bulls on Friday.
Sergio Rodriguez has done a more than admirable job as the Sixers starting point guard, averaging 7.7 points and 7.3 assists per game, which is good for 7th best in the NBA.
Center Joel Embiid is also probable for tonight's game against Miami.
