Right off the heels of Friday’s third-period meltdown against Toronto, the Flyers have a quick opportunity to bounce back, as they welcome the Minnesota Wild to Wells Fargo Center and open a four-game stretch on home ice.

For a team that has gotten off to a strong start with scoring and again managed to pull ahead of the opponent and be competitive through two periods, the Flyers came out flatter than a punctured tire in the third period. That was a team that didn’t show up, and they paid the price for it.

Paul Holmgren offered Eric Lindros a comeback in the 2011-12 season, giving the then-38-year-old one last shot at a Stanley Cup.

The Flyers currently are third in the league in scoring, averaging 3.28 goals per game. That is up significantly from 2015-16, where they averaged 2.53 goals per game. You would think the incremental .75 goals per game would lead to a much better winning percentage.

The Flyers season is nearing the quarter mark, so we decided to dive into the mailbag and take a look at some fan questions. This week, we look at goaltending, Anthony Stolarz’s progress and Nick Cousins playing time.
