The Flyers, at one point, struck for four straight goals and tied the game early in the third period. That was just one of the many parts of a road trip filled with learning experiences for a young Flyers team that, despite a 1-1-1 record and back-to-back losses, is on the rise.
The Blackhawks got out to a 4-0 lead and carried it late into the second period. The Flyers answered with four goals to even things up in the third. But it wouldn’t be enough as Chicago struck again midway through the third to reclaim the lead for good in the Flyers 7-4 loss to the Blackhawks on Tuesday night at United Center.
