Wednesday at the World Junior Championships featured just two games and one Flyers prospect in action.
While Canada was suiting up for their second game of the tournament on Wednesday evening, Carter Hart got the night off after getting the win in Canada's first game on Tuesday afternoon against Finland.
That left Maksim Sushko as the lone Flyers prospect in action on Wednesday, and he did not disappoint.
Sushko, who is serving as captain for Team Belarus, had a goal and an assist in a 3-2 loss to Switzerland. Sushko played 21:17 and had five shots and took one penalty in the game as well.
Despite his strong performance, Belarus suffered its second loss of the tournament. With each team getting four Round Robin games through Sunday, the chances that Belarus makes the quarterfinals becomes slimer with a second loss in two games.
Canada kept rolling with a 6-0 win over Slovakia on Wednesday. Hart was given the night off following his 29-save performance against Finland on Tuesday in a win. It is expected that Hart will be in goal for Canada for Friday afternoon's outdoor game against Team USA. Colton Point made 20 saves in the shutout win.
Two Flyers prospects will be part of the action on Thursday as four more games are played in the tournament. German Rubtsov and Russia take on Switzerland at 2 p.m. Linus Hogberg and Sweden face Czech Republic at 4 p.m.
