On 1:40 PM
today, the Phillies community lost a great man. Mark Marinelli, also known as @MarkM625 on
Twitter, passed away. His sister Melissa broke the news through his Twitter
account, saying that his death was sudden and unexpected.

Mark was
diagnosed with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy at the age of 4. Physicians told him
that he would not live beyond age 18. He fought long and hard to the age of 39.
He wrote about his experiences and love of television shows on his blog,
icantwalk.com.

Mark
developed a relationship with the Miami Marlins player, Logan Morrison, over
Twitter. Logan wrote a moving piece after hearing about his death, talking
about how Mark had changed him as a person and that we should all be inspired
by him.

You could
always find Mark at a Phillies game, and he was always looking forward to
talking about the Phillies or Broncos. You could never tell that he was
disabled by the way he acted and his positive attitude. He had such a love of
live, and never wasted a minute of it.

Rest easy,
bud.
