Aces Set Up to Square Off at Citizens Bank Park Tonight

The rain has finally stopped and Phillies baseball is back after two long days off and only one game in the last four days. Tonight the Phillies start a three game series against divisional rival, Washington Nationals. Tonight will be a battle of ace pitchers with Cliff Lee and Stephen Strasburg face off. Cliff Lee is coming off a rough outing giving up five runs, three earned, to the Diamondbacks only to get bailed out in the seventh and eighth innings by the Phillies offense. Lee is 3-2 on the season with 3.29 ERA and team high 40 strikeouts. Strasburg has yet to find his groove yet this season, but his last start was promising for the Nationals when he went seven innings striking out 11 batters and not giving up a run. Strasburg is still 2-2 with a 4.24 ERA and has given up four or more runs in three of his six games.
