Miami, FL - After dropping two out of three in Pittsburgh over the weekend, the Philadelphia Phillies continue their 10-game road trip with a stop in Miami for a three-game series, just one week after hosting the Marlins for four games at Citizens Bank Park. The Phillies lost three out of four in that series.
In Sunday's loss to the Pirates, the Phillies saw a 4-2 lead fall by the wayside, losing by a final score of 5-4, thanks to clutch home runs from Matt Joyce and Adam Frazier. On a good note for the Phils, Cesar Hernandez went 3-for-5 at the plate, raising his average to .286 while Odubel Herrera hit his 11th home run of the season.
Tonight, amidst trade rumors, right-hander Jeremy Hellickson is scheduled to start for Philadelphia. He'll be opposed by former Phillies prospect Jarred Cosart. First pitch is set for 7:10 p.m.
The Phillies and Marlins have split 10 games played against each other thus far in 2016.

Jeremy Hellickson's last start came against these Marlins, the one game that the Phillies won out of the four-game set last week in Philadelphia. The 28-year-old righty tossed eight superb innings of one-run ball, striking out eight. He's allowed three runs in 15 total innings against the Marlins this season. He's 2-1 with a 2.42 ERA, striking out 22 and walking just three, in four July starts. Just as recent as Sunday, the Phillies were scouting the Marlins Gulf Coast League team in preparation for a potential trade with Miami.
Meanwhile, Jarred Cosart is making his first Major League start since April 22 against the San Francisco Giants. After three rough outings to start the season, Cosart was sent to Triple-A New Orleans, where he went 3-4 with a 4.09 ERA. He pitched six innings and allowed three runs in his most recent minor league start on July 23 against Sacramento. The Phillies sent Cosart along with Jonathan Singleton, Domingo Santana and Josh Zeid to the Astros for Hunter Pence in 2011. In three career starts against the Phils, Cosart is 1-1 with a 2.40 ERA.
