Bryant has successful surgery on foot: Cowboys wide receiver Dez Bryant underwent surgery Monday to repair a broken bone in his foot. According to Bryant, everything went smoothly.
I will keep the all Dallas Cowboys fans updated so don't listen to all the craziness…. Surgery went great….. I can't wait to get back

The operation was performed to specifically repaired a broken fifth metatarsal in the 26-year-old's right foot, according to ESPN's Todd Archer.
Head coach Jason Garrett believes that Bryant will miss 4-6 weeks due to the injury, which would keep the Pro Bowl receiver out of key games such as next Sunday's Eagles game, and Oct. 26 rematch with the New York Giants, and even a Nov. 1 match up with the Seattle Seahawks.
While Garrett said the injury could keep him out six weeks max, a Cowboys source told ESPN's Chris Mortensen that Bryant could potentially miss up to eight weeks.
Jackson to miss 3-4 weeks with injured hamstring: The Washington Redskins will be without speedy receiver DeSean Jackson for at least four weeks after he tweaked his hamstring in Sunday's opener against the Miami Dolphins.
Jackson underwent an MRI Monday, and head coach Jay Gruden is optimistic that the three-time Pro Bowl receiver will be able to return sooner rather than later. While losing Jackson is a big blow, Gruden is confident other receivers will step up.
"[DeSean's] one of our stars. You hate to lose a star, especially with his speed," Gruden said. "We feel good about the receivers that will take his place, but nobody can substitute him for that burning speed that gets downfield and scares safeties and corners to death."
Eli told Jennings not to score on last drive against Cowboys: Eli Manning admitted to reporters that he told running back Rashad Jennings not to score if he got close to the end zone during the team's drive late in the fourth quarter of Sunday night's game against the Dallas Cowboys.
The drive didn't quite go according to plan, as Manning elected to throw an incomplete pass to the back of the end zone on third down instead of taking a sack.
Some confusion didn't help, as Manning said he lost track of the number of timeouts the Cowboys had.
"I thought they had one timeout left and they might let us score to get the ball back," Manning said Monday. "So I told Rashad, 'Go down at the 1-inch line and don't score.' This did not come from the sideline. It was me, and I was wrong. I cannot be the one in that situation to inform a back. That's not my decision, in that scenario. I made a mistake."
Manning later spoke to the team and apologized for that mistake and his decision to throw the ball out of the end zone instead of taking a sack to run more time off the clock.
Jennings later said that that Sunday was the first time he was instructed to do something like that since college. If the running back had scored on second down and an extra point was made, the Giants would've been up by 10 with just 1:43 left in regulation, and likely start the season with a big win over their division rivals.
Cowboys working out veteran WRs to replace Bryant: Due to Dez Bryant's injury, the Dallas Cowboys are bringing in a group of receivers to work out for the team Tuesday.
Among the group are veterans Hakeem Nicks, Nick Toon, Austin Pettis, and Clyde Gates. Nicks is the most accomplished of the bunch. The 27-year-old has compiled 349 catches for 5,027 yards and 31 touchdowns during his seven-year career with the New York Giants, Indianapolis Colts, and most recently, the Tennessee Titans.
Toon, 26, was cut by the New Orleans Saints after reaching an injury settlement after two seasons with the team in which he caught just 21 passes for 283 yards and one touchdown in 16 games.
Pettis, 27, was cut by the San Diego Chargers after training camp. He had spent four seasons with the St. Louis Rams from 2011-2014 and caught 107 balls for 1,034 yards and nine touchdowns.
Gates, 29, is the oldest of the group. He had previously joined the Cowboys during training camp, but was among their final cuts before the regular season began.
