The Phillies have done quite well in their rebuild so far this offseason. The trades of shortstop Jimmy Rollins and outfielder Marlon Byrd have netted the Phillies three young pitching prospects. Meanwhile, the Phillies National League East foe in Atlanta continues its own rebuild as well. Today the Braves made another move.
David O'Brien of the Atlanta Journal Constitution outpaced some of the traditional news breakers earlier today:

Gattis is the third player from their 2014 Opening Day lineup traded so far this season.
The Braves began their rebuild, trading outfielder Jason Heyward to the St. Louis Cardinals for pitcher Shelby Miller. The Braves also parted with outfielder Justin Upton, who was sent to the San Diego Padres in exchange for minor league pitcher Max Fried, outfielder Mallex Smithm infielders Dustin Peterson and Jace Peterson, and international bonus dollars. In a smaller move, the Braves traded second baseman Tommy La Stella to the Chicago Cubs.
