The Flyers had exposed several players, but it was expected that either Michal Neuvirth or Michael Raffl would be the selected party. But according to a report from Craig Custance, Pierre-Edouard Bellemare is the player Vegas has selected from the Flyers.

Could the Flyers actually trade the second overall pick? According to Matthew Sekeres, the host of a midday program for Vancouver’s TSN 1040 AM, there are rumblings that the Vegas Golden Knights could acquire the second overall pick from the Flyers.

The Flyers will open their home schedule at Wells Fargo Center on Saturday, October 14 against the Washington Capitals at 7 p.m.

As we’ve reviewed already, the consensus is that the Flyers will get one of Nolan Patrick or Nico Hischier. But there are other prospects that could pop up as surprise selections with the Flyers considering all options. Today, we look at Eden Prairie HS forward Casey Mittelstadt.

Adidas unveiled the new jerseys for all 31 NHL teams to be worn starting in the 2017-18 season on Tuesday. While some teams may not see much changes in their jersey design next season, other than the manufacturer, some will see wholesale changes. The Flyers uniforms remain similar.
