Everyone is always subject to evaluation and criticism. Right now, this is a team playing poor hockey in every aspect and criticism is high and comes easily. That’s where the Flyers were on Tuesday afternoon, as GM Ron Hextall and head coach Dave Hakstol evaluated and looked ahead with the team.

Given the type of season this was for the Eagles, any celebrations of other NFC East teams being ousted will be short-lived. While it is always nice to watch the Giants and Cowboys lose ahead of Super Bowl Sunday, the Eagles have their work cut out for them to join the rest of the group in the playoffs.

There was no winner in the 3-3 tie on Saturday night, but their were two things that are better than an exhibition win — a fanbase that showed why the Flyers have the longevity they do as a franchise and players from all eras that represent that longevity so well.
