On Friday, the Eagles signed Orlando Scandrick and, to make room, cut linebacker LJ Fort.

On Monday, the Baltimore Ravens announced that they had signed the veteran linebacker following their second loss of the season.

The decision to cut Fort was really turned into an easy one after four weeks of the season.

In addition to never playing a single snap on defense and being limited to special teams snaps, the linebacker would also cost the Eagles a fourth round compensatory pick.

His not playing defense may have been by design with the team realizing that a need may arise and they could release Fort for a draft pick in a roster pinch.

With his release, the Eagles should pick up an additional fourth-round pick in a draft where it is looking like they may be missing their first-round pick among others should they have their way with getting Jalen Ramsey from the Jaguars.

QB Nick Foles Jacksonville Jaguars $22,000,000 3
LB Jordan Hicks Arizona Cardinals $9,000,000 4
WR Golden Tate New York Giants $9,350,000 5 S Andrew Sendejo Minnesota Vikings $1,300,000 7

Note: The Golden Tate compensatory pick is likely to be the one cancelled out and fall from a fourth-round to a fifth-round pick due to the money and snaps he lost during his four-game suspension to start the season.

The Ravens are coming off a game in which they gave up 193 rushing yards and four rushing touchdowns, so they hope that Fort can somehow help with that glaring issue.
