In the first period of Tuesday’s game, Flyers forward Pierre-Edouard Bellemare suffered a noticeable injury and had to be helped to the locker room.

Bellemare will be out at least two weeks with a lower-body injury, according to GM Ron Hextall.

Bellemare scored his first goal of the season last Wednesday in the Flyers win in Boston. Since joining the Flyers last season, Bellemare has appeared in 89 games out of 90 for the team.

Hextall also updated Sean Couturier’s condition. Couturier confirmed on Tuesday that he did suffer a concussion in Boston, but was back skating with the team. He remains day-to-day.

With the injury, Dave Hakstol announced that Vincent Lecavalier will enter the lineup for the first time this season. Lecavalier had been a healthy scratch for the first eight games.
