The majority of the focus right now in the NBA is around free agency as the new league year began on July 1. New deals and trades can't officially be announced until July 6. During this year's NBA Awards, we learned that Sixers big man Joel Embiid would be the cover athlete for EA's NBA Live 19 video game, set to hit the shelves in September. Another young Sixer will be featured on the cover of a video game overseas. 2017-18 Rookie of the year Ben Simmons has been tabbed as the cover athlete for NBA 2K19 in Australia and Zealand.

NBA 2K19 will hit stores in early September.
