Between the Lines: Reunited Sooners Murray, Bradford draw praise; Sanchez confident as Training Camp nears

"Between the Lines" is a weekly aggregation series, sharing links and highlights of other pieces around the web regarding the Philadelphia Eagles and the rest of the National Football League.

DeMarco Murray, RB

“The beauty about Murray is that he’s an inside and outside guy. So he’ll get you the tough yards, but he also has the ability to bounce inside, and if he breaks, those DBs have to get on their horse.” – New York Giants linebacker Jon Beason

"You couldn’t stop him. He was a freight train. He was going downhill with no brakes. … He could make a two-inch hole blow wide open.” – Dallas Cowboys guard Ryan Miller

“He runs the ball very hard. He runs downhill. He brings power.” – Houston Texans defensive end J.J. Watt

Sam Bradford, QB

"Sam Bradford’s workout Monday in front of representatives for all 32 NFL teams at Oklahoma’s pro day almost left me speechless. And that’s saying something." – former Dallas Cowboys vice president of player personnel, Gil Brandt

Mark Sanchez, QB

The truth is, that’s what it comes down to. And if Sanchez can go out and have a brilliant Training Camp and preseason, he’ll give the coaching staff something more to think about. That’s a good thing. A very good thing.

“You’ve got to be the best guy to win the job. The best guy plays,” Sanchez said. “That means move the team down the field, get points, get completions, do the right thing in the right situations, throw the ball away when you have to, take care of the football. All of those things that go with being a starter.

“I’ve done it before and I know I can do it again. I’m going to put my best out there and see what happens. That’s all I can do. Be the best I can be.”
