The Philadelphia Eagles opened the practice window for defensive end Brandon Graham, the team announced earlier on Thursday. The roster move allows Graham to potentially play in Super Bowl LIX against the Kansas City Chiefs.

Graham, 36, tore his triceps tendon in the Week 9 win over the Los Angeles Rams on NBC’s Sunday Night Football. The injury came as the Super Bowl LII hero was having one of his best years of his 15-year NFL career.  No one expected the Birds’ first pick in the 2010 NFL Draft to be the team’s best rush end at the time of his injury considering Graham announced the 2024-25 season would be his swan song.

When asked about potentially returning for Super Bowl LIX, Graham was non-committal, but anyone can “read between the lines:”

Through parts of 11-games, Graham notched 20 total tackles including seven QB hits, six tackles-for-loss, 3.5 sacks, two pass breakups, and a forced fumble.

CJ Uzomah, placed on IR at the start of the month, also had his practice window opened. He was the TE3 before the injury and the promotion of EJ Jenkins.

Lew Nichols returns to the practice squad, likely as a result of Kenny Gainwell dealing with a concussion. TE Nick Muse loses his spot on the squad to make room with the Eagles likely expecting Uzomah could return for the big game if it was needed.
