The Villanova Wildcats are coming off of their third championship in school history, their second in the last three years.
The Sixers are currently standing tough, taking down opponents on an 11-game winning streak, the team's longest since 1990.
Like all coaches in the NBA, the goal for the season is to win a championship. And for Brett Brown, winning a title in Philly is something that is definitely on the radar at some point during his tenure. But after Jay Wright brought 'Nova yet another championship, the inspiration and passion to get this team to the next level is definitely there.
Brett Brown closing out a message on his respect for Jay Wright and Villanova: “It’s the only reason why I’m here — I want to bring a championship to Philadelphia.”

The Sixers have been the NBA's worst team for much of the last fi#Sixers' Brett Brown: "It's the only reason I'm here – I want to bring a championship to Philadelphia"ve seasons, and Brett Brown has been at the helm for most of those. Hearing him genuinely want to bring yet another championship to Philadelphia – the third in four months – is music to my ears.
The Sixers are going to have challenges getting to a position to win a title this season, especially with the talent coming out of the Western Conference, but all things considered, the chance the Sixers can make some noise to make a push is definitely there.
And seeing basketball in Philadelphia be successful with Jay Wright and Villanova, just adds fuel to the fire of being successful at the pro level, giving the fans what they've been craving for 35 years, an NBA Championship.
