Brian Bogusevic appears to be staying with the Lehigh Valley IronPigs. Though he had an option to opt out of his Phillies contract today, Bogusevic appears to be staying put. In fact, Bogusevic is present with the IronPigs and readying for tonight's game. That, and a special baseball tournament that begins the end of next week.
Tom Housenick of the Allentown Morning Call reports:
Brian Bogusevic still an @IronPigs OF, excited for upcoming Pan-Am Games. He leaves Saturday for training

Both Bogusevic and Phillies prospect Zach Eflin will represent Team USA.
The Pan American (or "Pan Am") Games take place every four years in years prior to the Summer Olympic games. The Pan Am games feature 41 nations. Even though baseball is no longer recognized as a Summer Olympic sport, baseball remains part of the Pan Am games. The World Baseball Classic began in reaction to the end of Olympic Baseball.
Long-time Phillies organization coach Roly de Armas will serve as an assistant coach for Team USA. Phillies fans would remember de Armas from filling in as bullpen coach during the 2008 World Series Champion Phillies. View the full roster here.
