The Philadelphia 76ers had their exit interviews on Thursday with the players, and Friday with the front office, as both GM Bryan Colangelo and head coach Brett Brown spoke with the media.
The media asked a variety of questions, which the two answered to the best of their abilities. You can follow those tweets on Sixerdelphia's Twitter feed.
But the one that highlighted most of the others was the need for a free agent this summer, which include three high profile names, two that can be signed to a contract, and one that would need to be traded for. I'm obviously referring to Paul George, LeBron James, and Kawhi Leonard, respectively.
Brown told the media that in order to take the next step, a star would need to be added to the core of Joel Embiid and Ben Simmons instead of just sticking to organically growing the team.
Brown went on the Mike Missanelli Show on Friday afternoon to talk about why the Sixers' season ended the way it did, Missanelli asked this question.
MM: So you’re saying if you want to win a championship, you need to sign one of the two marquee free agents and/or trade for a high profile name? Is that what you’re saying?BB: Yes.
