Buchanan, Phillies look for two in a row on Wall of Fame Night

The Philadelphia Phillies will look to continue their solid play since the All Star break tonight as they host the Atlanta Braves in the second game of a four-game set at Citizens Bank Park. Last night, Aaron Harang made a successful return from the disabled list in Philadelphia's 4-1 series opener victory.

Veteran slugger and two-time World Series champion, Pat Burrell, will be inducted as the 37th member of the Phillies Wall of Fame tonight, prior to the game commencing

Starting Pitching Matchup:

Atlanta Braves (46-56) Philadelphia Phillies (39-64)
RHP Willams Perez RHP David Buchanan
(4-0, 2.88 ERA) (1-5, 7.00 ERA)

David Buchanan gets the call for the Phillies tonight. This will be his 8th start of the season. Buchanan picked up his first win of the year in his last start back on July 20th. In that game, he went six and a third allowing six hits and three runs while walking three and striking out four.

In his seven starts this season, Buchanan has not pitched more than six and two thirds innings. He has allowed three or more runs in all but one of those games. He is 0-2 with a 4.01 ERA in three career starts against the Braves.

Williams Perez will face Buchanan. Perez is 4-0 on the season in eight starts. He began the year as a reliever but injuries forced him into the starting rotation. HE has allowed two runs or less in six of his eight starts.

Perez will be making his first appearance since June 26th when he was hit by a ball on the foot. He has been on the DL since.
