EAST RUTHERFORD — Chip Kelly is quick to brush off the "innovator" label when discussing his uptempo offense that powered the Eagles to a division title in 2013 and a 5-1 start this season.
"I didn't bring [high tempo offenses] to the NFL," Kelly reiterated on a conference call with reporters. "They were doing it for a long time before I was here. The Buffalo Bills did it back in the '90's, Sam Wyche is probably the first guy…."
