After getting a little bit of a scare last night with Nerlens Noel, some good news came out of Sixers practice today. Reigning Rookie of the Year, Michael Carter-Williams, who has been recovering from shoulder surgery was a full participant in team scrimmage today for the first time.

In MCW's absence, Tony Wroten has been starting at point guard and though his turnover numbers are high, he has made some great plays, driving to the hoop for points and has also racked up a significant number of steals as well. Through five games, Wroten is averaging 20.8 points, seven assists, 4.4 rebounds. His 3.4 steals per game currently leads the NBA.
When Carter-Williams returns, it is likely the Sixers shift Wroten to the two guard spot, something the third year guard out of Washington is looking forward to.
“We can both play both positions, so that should help us a lot,” Wroten said. “We’re both big guards and can get rebounds and be able to kick it out fast.”
“Mike and I were talking about when he’d be able to come back to full-contact. The more of our players we can get back, the better,” Wroten said. “Obviously Mike is a great player, so we’re looking forward to it.” [CSNPhilly.com]
A league source told CSNPhilly.com that MCW and the Sixers are targeting a November 13th return, when the team plays the Mavericks. Last season, Carter-Williams averaged 16.7 points, 6.3 assists, 6.2 rebounds and 1.9 steals a game for the Sixers.
