Chandon Sullivan to Sign with Green Bay Packers

It took only a few days, but cornerback Chandon Sullivan seems to have found a new home.

According to Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network, Sullivan will be joining the Green Bay Packers on Monday.

Cornerback Chandon Sullivan, who was recently released by the #Eagles, is signing with the #Packers today, per agents the Katz bros. He started one game for Philly last year and was a special teams contributor.

While it is not surprising that a team would pick up the corner who showed potential and has a year of practice squad experience, it is somewhat shocking to think that he found a job prior to guys like Mike Wallace, Stefen Wisniewski and Jay Ajayi.

Sullivan was called up to the active roster following the slew of injuries in the secondary. He was behind De’Vante Bausby on the depth chart and, as such, saw less snaps than Bausby. He did show quite a few flashes in the last preseason game, but was not able to make those big plays in the snaps he saw during the regular season, when he made one start for the team. He was sent back to the practice squad in favor of Josh Hawkins at the end of the season.

The Eagles released him on May 1, seemingly solidifying the corner position on the 53-man roster, but also leaving the team with next to no depth for the practice squad.

Sullivan signing a new deal will not affect the Eagles compensatory pick formula since he was released by the team.
