Beloved former Phillies Manager Charlie Manuel is the next to get in on the ice bucket challenge. Charlie passed it on to the Phillies broadcast team:
I took #ALSIceBucketChallenge & call out @mstairs12 @jmo50Moyer @JSalisburyCSN @TMacPhils to ice & sign checkto Phillies Charities fight ALS

Since 1984 Phillies Charities has raised >15.2million $ to help fight ALS. You can help too! #ALSIceBucketChallenge pic.twitter.com/0ZWU9Zrbdl

Manuel is correct – the Phillies' commitment to ALS has been unprecedented and unmatched.
While other teams do a "Fan Fest" prior to the opening of the season, the Phillies continue their tradition of the Phillies Phestival, which began many years before many teams began having such an event.
Meanwhile, I am looking forward to Tom McCarthy, Matt Stairs, Jamie Moyer, and Jim Salisbury take the challenge next.
