Chris Long continues his service with trek for clean water
By: Jesse Larch, Sports Talk Philly editor
Chris Long's dedication to service has been second to none, and it appears that the Eagles' defensive end is not planning to stop his efforts any time soon.
After donating all of his game checks this season Long has committed to hiking Mt. Kilimanjaro in an effort to bring clean water to the nation of Africa.
Long organizes the event with Nate Boyer, a former NFL player and Green Beret. The two challenge NFL Players and military veterans to join the effort.
Former Eagles Vince Young and Connor Barwin are among the participants. See the full list of participants below:
We are proud to announce the OFFICIAL 2018 Conquering Kili roster. This group of military vets, @NFL players and guests have accepted the challenge to summit Africa’s highest peak to bring #cleanwater to communities in need. The adventure starts Feb 16. https://t.co/36lGT6qolc pic.twitter.com/wVbmb5Ez22
