Cliff Lee Looks to Stop the Bleeding. Again.

After two mostly pathetic losses against a less than stellar Milwaukee club, the Phillies are forced to lick their wounds and give the ball to Cliff Lee. They've shown some signs of battle in these games but for the most part are letting mediocre pitchers beat them. With every loss, I find myself more and more thinking it's time to bite the bullet adn see what the future holds. That starts with bidding goodbye to the Youngs. I'd rather see Cesar Hernandez, who looks quite comfortable so far, settle into the big leagues. I'd rather see Darin Ruf, who has apparently improved defensively, get some time in LF and move Domonic Brown back to RF. It's at least interesting, unlike watching a few over the hill players who clearly have nothing to offer this mediocre team. I like Michael Young a lot actually but both parties are wasting time right now and they ought to look into moving him. Delmon they can just release for all I care.

Lee has been his usual self lately and he's another one who I wonder if he has fewer starts ahead of him in red pinstripes than are behind him. He faces Milwaukee pitcher Mike Fiers who serves as a backend starter/reliever. He's a decent arm overall. I don't know what its hittable and what isn't to the Phillies anymore so I'll just say, he's average.

Jimmy Rollins returns to the line up today after sitting out yesterday with a sore foot. John Mayberry is mercifully playing RF today.

ZAMBRANO WATCH

Ethan Martin started for Triple-A Lehigh Valley last night on three days rest in order to make room for an unannounced starter today.  There is speculation that Zambrano fills that void today but nothing has been announced.  They have two hours to figure it out I guess. If not, it's likely B.J. Rosenberg will start for the Pigs.
