Chicago, IL – With his name at the epicenter of trade discussion, as the non-waiver trade deadline is less than a week away, Phillies left-handed ace Cole Hamels made history before a crowd of 41,683 at Wrigley Field.

On 129 pitches, 83 of which were strikes, Hamels tossed the 13th no-hitter in franchise history.

In the process, catcher Carlos Ruiz caught his fourth-career no-no. This ties him with Red Sox legend Jason Varitek for most in major league baseball history.
