When the Phillies traded their ace pitcher Cole Hamels to the Texas Rangers, that did not spell the end of Hamels helping the Philadelphia area. The Hamels Foundation remains based out of Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania, and continues to raise money for urban education. One of the events that will help raise funds is a pitching clinic hosted by Hamels himself this very weekend.
The Hamels Foundation website describes the weekend's event in Garnett Valley, PA:
Come and learn from one of the best in baseball! This is a 4 1/2 hour clinic where every child will get one on one time with Cole Hamels, along with other professionals!
Your child will participate in pitching exercises and learn about the types of pitches, hitting, nutrition, and the "mental toughness" of baseball.
Also included is an autographed Cole Hamels baseball, a photo of your child with Cole Hamels, Cole Hamels pitching clinic T-shirt and more!
