The Sixers are in the midst of a 10-game win streak and they have an opportunity to make it 11 on Tuesday night against Brooklyn on their home court. The Sixers are armed with fun, exciting young talent that could cause problems for a number of teams in playoffs, leading many to wonder how far they can actually go, especially if Embiid comes back without skipping a beat.
It's not surprising in the least that the Sixers were a topic during Colin Cowherd's show on Fox Sports 1 Monday. His guest, Chris Broussard, said that he believes the Sixers could make it to the Eastern Conference Finals if they don't have to face the Cavs before that round. Cowherd responded by saying that if that happened, it would be the worst month of his talk show host career, because his social media would blow up with obnoxious, not well-meaning Philadelphia fans.

Philadelphia fans distaste for Cowherd is extremely warranted. He's a talk show host, so of course he tries to push our buttons to up his viewership, but at the same time – it isn't that hard to give credit where credit is due. Obnoxious and not well-meaning? How about passionate and never-forgetting. You talk smack on our teams, you have to be willing to pony up when you're wrong. Cowherd did just that after the Sixers won 40 games, donning a Sixers jersey to do good on a bet he made on Twitter at the beginning of the season.
Whether you're a Cowherd fan or not, it's still fun to be able to have our Sixers out there being talked about in playoff situations. It wasn't too long ago that the process was the laughing stock of the NBA and now, the Sixers look to have the last laugh as they go for 11 straight wins on Tuesday at the Wells Fargo Center.
