The IronPigs lone All-Star this season will be Luis Garcia. Garcia is 2-0, with 15 saves and an 0.35 ERA for the Pigs this season. He's spent a little time with the big club, but he's mostly been an effective closer for the Pigs in AAA.
Garcia, at 27, doesn't rate as a big time prospect. With that said, he's got a good story. A short time ago, he was a barber, and a mover. Now, he's a AAA All-Star. The International League vs. Pacific Coast League game will be played July 16th in Durham, NC. Maikel Franco does get to go to the Futures Game on the 13th in Minneapolis, as well.
