Jose Contreras has not pitched in the last three games, and it has been reported that he's suffering a right flexor pronator strain, which has sent him to the DL. He will fly back to Philly to have an MRI done tomorrow, but in the meantime, 24-year-old righty Michael Stutes will join the rest of the bullpen. He's coming up from AAA Lehigh Valley where he has pitched in seven games (2-1 record) allowing nine hits, three runs, two earned runs, striking out 14 and walking four.
Bring on the Stutes.
