Offseason? What offseason?
For Dario Saric, there is no offseason, as the Sixers power forward is getting his reps in international play with Team Croatia this summer.
And if there was any doubt of decreased play after playing in almost every single game for the Sixers last season, Saric has shut those doubters up pretty quickly.
Saric left his NBA rookie season with a plantar's fasciitis injury, which was caused by many games played over the course of two years with Croatia, Anadolu Efes, and the Sixers.
And with the injury now seemingly in the past, Saric made it a point to completely annhiliate his competition in Eurobasket league friendly matches.
Through three games with the Croatian National Team, Saric has been undoubtedly the head of the class with averages of 23 points and 11 rebounds, including two double-double performances.
Saric just hasn't been messing around with his international competition, and a 25-point, 15-board game on August 12 against Slovenian phenom Luka Doncic further solidified his standing around the world.
Saric turned heads in the NBA with a run at Rookie of the Year, proving that he can indeed stay with some of the NBA's best power forwards. By playing in international competitions during the summer, Saric can stay on top of his game going into the next season with the 76ers.
It's safe to say that Dario Saric doesn't want to be done being a part his team's starting lineup, and he's doing the best he can to contribute to Team Croatia as much in that role as much as possible.
Keep up the hard work there, Homie, and bring back that intensity to Philly in a couple months.
