Some hadn't even gotten to their seats yet and David Wright made his return from a long stint on the disabled list with a two run blast which put Cole Hamels in a 3 run deficit before recording an out. Hamels got hit around a bit and let up six runs and while that doesn't necesssarily give you a quality start, he really didn't pitch all that bad either. He lasted seven innings and struck out nine but all six Mets runs did cross the plate on him.

Daisuke Matsuzaka was much better than the last time he faced the Phillies and sent him to the showers early but he wasn't unhittable either. In the 4th, they would score four runs off him including a two run double from Darin Ruf. The Mets bullpen held the Phillies back in the later innings and Justin De Fratus and Jake Diekman pitched two scoreless frames themselves.

The Phillies are back at it at 7:05 for the second to last home game of the season and it is Dillon Gee vs. Tyler Cloyd.
