Michael Del Zotto will become yet another Flyer to enter pop culture, as he filmed an appearance on Thursday for the upcoming Goon sequel, Last of the Enforcers.
Del Zotto filmed alongside Dallas' Tyler Seguin as a member of the fictitious St. John's Shamrocks, lining up against Seann William Scott and the Halifax Highlanders — a team who's logo looks eerily similar to the one utilized by the Orange and Black.

Del Zotto joins a lengthy list of Flyers personnel to cross over onto the silver screen. Then-Flyers Scott Hartnell, Ian Laperriere, Matt Carle and James Van Riemsdyk all made a cameo in 2012's This Is 40, while Lauren Hart sang the Star-Spangled Banner in Miracle. Though not Flyers at the time, Laperriere, Vinny Lecavalier and Mike Ricci also stared in a 2005 biopic about Rocket Richard. Of course, who could also forget Peter Zezel's appearance in 1986's classic Youngblood?
Directed by Jay Baruchel (who will also reprise his roles in the movie and as a writer), Goon: Last of the Enforcers is scheduled for a 2016 release.
