Welcome to the city of Deladelphia, where we talk about the Delaware 87ers and the Philadelphia 76ers!
Sixers send players to Sevens
Over the last week, the Sixers utilized their development team, the Sevens, for some of their roster development.
First, we had Jerryd Bayless. He was sent to the Sevens to help in his rehab of his wrist injury.
Next, seldom used rookie Timothe Luwawu-Caborrot was sent down to the Sevens.
Then, after sending them to the Sevens for a cup of coffee, they brought them back up. Both were sent down with the team on the road to get in some work with the Sevens.
Noel on the way back?
Nerlens Noel has not been with the team this season as he recovers from surgery. However, it seems like he's going to be back with the team very soon.
Wizards joining the party.
Sixers beat the Wizards so naturally, the Wizards want to be a part of the Sixers' program (The Process). If you can't beat em…eh, you know the rest. Okay, that's not how that played out (the news came before Sixers played them) but the Wizards did assign their rookie Danuel House to the Sevens. The Wizards, as you might be able to tell, don't have their own D-League team. Be careful, Sevens! He might just be a spy!
Let's have some fun.
The Sixers players did some "Rocky" impersonations. I actually…here's the thing: I have found most of these little player clips boring and corny. But, I actually giggled (grown men can giggle!) during that little clip. Listen to it. Watch it. Whatever.
I'm not sure if this is real. I don't know if I believe it. But, ya know what? Joel Embiid wanting a trademark for "The Process" works for me so why not? Make it happen. Long live Hinkie.
