When the national sports betting ban was overturned just a few weeks ago, allowing states to pass their own laws for sports gambling, it was said that Delaware would be one of the first states to begin the process.

On Tuesday, Delaware launched legal sports betting at its three casinos, with governor John Carney placing the first bet on a single MLB-game.

Fittingly, Carney chose the Phillies to win over the Cubs, as they begin a three-game series at Wrigley Field Tuesday night.

The Cubs (33-23) are heavy favorites (-235) to beat the Phillies (31-26) on Tuesday night. Zach Eflin takes the mound for Philadelphia against Chicago starter Kyle Hendricks.
