The Eagles have a new head coach, they don't quite have an answer at quarterback just yet, but DeMarco Murray's situation in Philadelphia is still one of the top headlines of the offseason, with the 28-year-old back signed for four more years. There have been plenty of reports and rumors that Murray is unhappy in Philadelphia, but that didn't keep him from saying that he's committed to playing here during an interview with Pro Football Talk in early February.
“No. I’m signed there for the next four years. I don’t know where that story is coming from,” Murray said. “It’s a little crazy. Every week I feel like there’s something new. It’s a little weird. I can’t worry about what people are saying. I’ll just continue to work hard. I’m signed for four years and I’m committed.”
Here we are at the end of February, and Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network reports that teams around the league are still getting the message that Murray is unhappy in Philadelphia, though it would be difficult for the Eagles to trade him with a $13 million cap hit hanging over their heads.
The message teams are receiving this week: DeMarco Murray still not happy in Philly. Trading him will be difficult, but #Eagles will listen.

DeMarco Murray's affinity for DAL is evident. So is his $13M cap hit for #Eagles. Plenty to work out. Teams know his situation is unsettled

In addition, NJ.com's Matt Lombardo hears that Doug Pederson, not Howie Roseman, will have the final say as to whether Murray stays with the Eagles or goes elsewhere.
Last season, Murray rushed for just 702 yards and six touchdowns in 2015 just one year after posting career-highs of 1,845 yards and 13 TDs in his final season in Dallas. His 3.6 yards per carry this season with the Eagles was the worst of his career. Murray never seemed to get comfortable in Chip Kelly's system, with most of his plays going east to west, rather than downhill, which is what he's known for.
Murray’s $7 million base salary for 2016 is fully guaranteed, as is $2 million of his $7.5 million salary for 2017.
