The Philadelphia 76ers (18-33) and San Antonio Spurs (39-12) played for the second time in the last six days and although tonight ended in a Sixers loss, 111-103, they played much better than they did last week, 102-86. The Sixers kept things close for the majority of the game, but couldn't stop the veteran Spurs down the stretch to put together a rally.

San Antonio led by six after one and by a score of 58-51 at halftime. The teams drew an even third quarter before the Sixers cut the Spurs lead to two at the beginning of the fourth. That's as close as they'd get though, falling by eight. Danny Green hit a three with just over two minutes to play, increased the Spurs lead to 11. That's when fans began heading for the exits. San Antonio shot 11 percent higher than the Sixers and out-rebounded them by 12. Philadelphia did force 15 turnovers and only coughed the ball up six times themselves.

Jahlil Okafor got the start once again for the Sixers and looked strong offensively, scoring 20 points to go along with eight rebounds despite being a -12 on the night. Robert Covington put together a strong game, finishing with 18 points, six rebounds and two steals. Dario Saric (+10) was one of just two Sixers with a positive +/- against the Spurs. He, like Okafor, had 20 points, shooting 8-for-11 from the floor. Nik Stauskas also had an encouraging performance, scoring 16 points (5-10 fg), grabbing seven rebounds and handing out a career-high seven assists.

On the Spurs end, it's no surprise they were led by Kawhi Leonard with 32 points, six rebounds and five assists. LaMarcus Aldridge (15pts, 10reb) and Dewayne Dedmon (10pts, 11reb) both finished with double doubles.
