The Eagles announced on Tuesday morning that they have made a trade that boosts their wide receiver depth.
The Eagles have acquired receiver Dorial Green-Beckham from the Tennessee Titans in exchange for offensive lineman Dennis Kelly.
Green-Beckham, 23, was a second-round pick of the Titans in 2015. In his rookie season, Green-Beckham played in all 16 games, including starting five games, and made 32 catches for 549 yards and four touchdowns.
The 6'5", 225-pound wideout also played two seasons with Missouri, making 87 catches for 1,278 yards and 17 touchdowns in 15 games. After those two seasons, Green-Beckham transfered to Oklahoma after he was dismissed from Missouri's football program. He never played a snap with the Sooners after a waiver request was denied by the NCAA. He declared for the NFL Draft following the 2014 season.
Green-Beckham has had off-the-field issues as well. During his freshman season at Missouri, in October 2012, he was arrested along with two other teammates on marijuana charges. He was arrested again on marijuana charges in January of 2014. Due to his drug-related incidents, as well as an incident later in 2014 where he allegedly forced open an apartment door, he was dismissed from Missouri.
Kelly, 26, was a fifth-round pick of the Eagles in 2012. Kelly played at various positions on the offensive line, notably tackle and guard, and played in 30 games over four seasons with the Eagles, including 15 starts. He started 10 games in his rookie season in 2012 and two games last season. He did not play in the 2013 season.
